Job summary

IHOP in Chicago, IL is seeking a General Manager to direct the operation of an assigned unit. You will develop relationships with guests and staff, implement training programs, and execute annual financial, marketing, guest service, and HR objectives according to SOPs and the operations plan.

You will supervise restaurant hourly employees, recruit and train staff, manage inventory and safety, ensure food quality and compliance, and maintain high guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• IHOP training certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with IHOP employees and guests.
• Implement the Craft Training program for all restaurant hourly employees to improve operations and guest experience.
• Execute annual financial, local marketing, guest service, and HR objectives per SOP and operations plan.
• Manage restaurant floor and maintain regular guest contact; address complaints professionally.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for the unit.
