Job summary

IHOP is seeking a General Manager to direct the operation of an assigned unit, focusing on guest experience and staff leadership. You will build professional relationships with guests and employees, implement training programs, and drive annual financial and marketing objectives in line with SOPs.

You will recruit, coach, and evaluate team members while ensuring food safety, quality, and compliance with all regulations. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–4 years related experience or training.
• Certification through IHOP training courses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with IHOP employees and guests.
• Implement the Craft Training program for all restaurant hourly employees to improve operations and guest experience.
• Execute annual financial, local restaurant marketing, guest service, and HR objectives per SOP and operations plan.
• Manage restaurant floor, maintain guest contact, and handle complaints professionally.
• Recruit, train and retain staff; coach and administer hourly compensation; document performance.
• Ensure food safety and SOP compliance in recipes, plating, temperatures, and service times.
• Maintain supplies, inventory, and vendor relations; order food and keep pars.
• Ensure equipment and premises are safe and well-maintained; enforce cleanliness and hygiene.
