Job summary

BBQ Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the profitable restaurant operation in Mentor, OH. You will lead guest-focused service, supervise 20–50 staff per shift, and partner with the General Manager to ensure safety, sanitation, and financial performance.

The role requires strong leadership, training, and adherence to company policies, with a flexible schedule and dedication to guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of prior managerial or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Increase guest counts and sales by developing guest loyalty through quality of operation and staff development.
• Assist the General Manager with facility and equipment management using preventive maintenance and safety measures.
• Recruit, hire, train, develop, retain, supervise, appraise, discipline, terminate and schedule employees for operations.
• Ensure health department and Quality Restaurant Evaluation audits meet guidelines and health/sanitation standards.
• Supervise 20–50 non-exempt employees per shift and ensure proper documentation of training.
• Manage financial results and develop corrective actions as needed; participate in management meetings.
