Job summary

LOGAN is seeking an Assistant General Manager for a Logan’s Roadhouse restaurant in Tuscaloosa, AL. The role drives operational excellence, builds sales, and oversees staff development, safety, and regulatory compliance to ensure quality food and guest service.

The position requires at least two years of restaurant management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage shifts, cash handling, and training while upholding ServSafe and HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years restaurant management experience.
• College degree preferred or equivalent in experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to positively motivate employees to work as a team to ensure service standards.
• Energetic and flexible.
• Must possess proper food handler and alcohol dispensing certifications.
• Follows company policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Model hospitality during 100% guest table visits.
• Effectively handle guest complaints.
• Assist with staffing needs, review applications, interview candidates, and training.
• Plan and lead shift meetings and solicit feedback from team members.
• Provide coaching, feedback, development goals, and recognition to hourly staff.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance (ServSafe, HACCP, OSHA).
• Monitor inventory, cash handling, and bank deposits with accurate records.
• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of the facility and equipment.
• Communicate employee relations issues to Human Resources.
• Oversee budget, labor, and cost of sales to meet revenue goals.
• Adhere to company policies and standards; assist with program rollouts.
• Other duties as assigned.
