Job summary

IHOP is seeking a General Manager to direct the operation unit. You will lead in achieving budgeted sales and profits, develop relationships with guests and staff, and implement Craft Training programs to enhance guest experience.

The role requires supervising craft employees, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing inventories, equipment, safety, and quality standards. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2–4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving budgeted sales and profits.
• Develop professional relationships with IHOP employees and guests.
• Implement Craft Training program for all restaurant hourly employees to improve unit operations and guest experience.
• Assist in execution of annual financial, local restaurant marketing, guest service and HR objectives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the unit.
• Assist in recruitment, training and retention of employees.
• Ensure adequate levels of supplies (food, paper, kitchen, safety, etc.).
• Ensure proper operational condition of equipment and premises per SOP.
• Ensure safety and sanitation practices are maintained.
• Assist in completion of reports and paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
