Job summary

IHOP is seeking a General Manager to direct the operation of an assigned unit. You will develop guest relations, lead the Craft Training program, and drive annual financial, marketing, guest-service, and HR objectives in line with SOPs.

Responsibilities include managing the floor, controlling guest satisfaction, recruiting and coaching staff, ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance, maintaining inventories, and implementing promotions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–4 years related experience.
• Certification through IHOP training courses.
• A valid Driver’s License may be necessary for travel.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operation of an assigned IHOP unit.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with guests and employees.
• Implement Craft Training program for all hourly employees.
• Execute annual financial, local marketing, guest service, and HR objectives per SOPs.
• Manage floor operations and maintain guest satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, coach, and retain staff; conduct performance appraisals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and employment regulations.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.
• Complete required reports and enforce policies on harassment, discrimination, and diversity.
