Job summary

Portillo’s Inc. in Elgin, IL is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead team members and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will model standards, coach staff, and ensure operations run smoothly on high-volume shifts.

The role requires 1–3 years in restaurant management, strong P&L understanding, and flexibility for 50+ hour weeks. Competitive pay and a robust benefits package accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Must exhibit an aptitude for leading, coaching, and driving excellence.
• Working knowledge of restaurant operations, recruiting, scheduling, food planning and preparation, sanitation, food quality, and security.
• Must pass required sanitation and responsible alcohol vending courses.

Responsibilities

• Model operational standards and execute critical behaviors to run great shifts.
• Motivate and manage team members to provide hospitality at the highest level.
• Demonstrate leadership with a focus on coaching and achieving excellence.
• Foster team engagement through recognition and communication.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, food and restaurant safety regulations.
• Train Portillo’s team members on operations of the restaurant.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and connections.
• Plan shift planning, scheduling, training, daily routines, opening/closing, cash handling.
• Decide on inventory, budget, and labor considerations.
