Job summary

IHOP in Elkhart, IN is seeking a General Manager to direct the operation of an assigned unit, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational excellence. You will lead staff, enforce SOPs, and maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while driving financial and marketing objectives.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 2–4 years related experience.
Certification through assigned IHOP training courses.
Ability to speak and read English and interpret safety rules.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain professional working relationships with IHOP employees and guests.
Implement the Craft Training program for all restaurant hourly employees to improve unit operations and the guest experience.
Execute annual financial, local restaurants marketing, guest service, and human resource objectives, strategies and tactics.
Manage the restaurant floor and interact with guests; handle complaints professionally.
Recruit, train and retain staff; administer compensation and appraisals; enforce policies on harassment, discrimination and diversity.
Ensure food safety, inventory, and supplies; maintain SOP compliance and proper food presentation.
