Job summary

Habit Burger & Grill in Vermont seeks an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager, lead daily operations, hire and train staff, uphold food safety standards, and ensure exceptional guest experiences every shift.

You will supervise FOH & BOH team members, manage scheduling and inventory, drive sales through service excellence, and coach employees toward a strong, within-brand culture and career growth.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in related food service management position preferred.
• Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required.
• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of FOH & BOH Team Members.
• Assist and supervise the training and development of FOH & BOH Team Members.
• Uphold food preparation specifics by ensuring SOPs are followed for quality items.
• Communicate, train, and educate Team Members and Shift Leaders on changes, processes, products, promotions, or equipment.
• Conduct Succession Planning 1-on-1s with designated Team Members.
• Ensure Team Members comply with standards including safety, hygiene, appearance, and uniform.
• Manage daily restaurant shift operations.
• Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution.
• Ensure food quality and availability.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking in all areas.
