Job summary

Habit Burger & Grill is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager and lead daily restaurant operations. You will coordinate communication, supervise FOH & BOH teams, and uphold quality standards to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You’ll drive staffing, training, food safety, inventory, and cost controls while promoting sales growth. This role rewards leadership with strong growth opportunities within a people-first culture.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in a related food service management position preferred.
• Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and training.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding FOH & BOH Team Members.
• Assist and supervise the training and development of FOH & BOH Team Members.
• Uphold food preparation specifics by ensuring SOPs are followed for quality deliveries.
• Communicate, train, and educate Team Members on changes or new procedures or equipment.
• Conduct Succession Planning 1-on-1s with designated Team Members.
• Ensure Team Members comply with all standards including safety, sanitation, and appearance.
• Manage daily operations of a restaurant shift.
• Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking in all areas.
• Assist in development of Team Members and in building sales.
• Conduct inventory and place food orders; process invoices.
