Job summary

Habit Burger & Grill in Utah is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, lead a front-of-house and back-of-house team, and drive guest satisfaction.

You will recruit and train staff, uphold food safety standards, manage scheduling, and monitor labor and food costs while delivering quality service and a great dining experience. This role offers growth opportunities, a collaborative culture, and a focus on people-first leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Manager Certification or ServSafe Manager Certificate required.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule and travel occasionally for meetings/training.
• Strong leadership and guest-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding FOH & BOH team members.
• Assist and supervise the training and development of FOH & BOH team members.
• Uphold food preparation specifics by following SOPs for quality food items.
• Communicate, train, and educate team members on changes or new procedures.
• Conduct 1-on-1 succession planning with designated team members.
• Ensure standards for safety, hygiene, appearance, and uniforms.
• Manage daily restaurant shift operations.
• Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking in all areas.
• Develop team members and build sales.
• Conduct inventory and manage food orders and invoices.
• Track and manage labor and food costs to meet goals.
• Prepare work schedules and assist opening/closing shifts.
• Maintain restaurant equipment and request repairs as needed.
