Habit Burger & Grill in Richmond, VA is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager and lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring a warm guest experience and quality food.

You will recruit and develop FOH/BOH teams, uphold safety and sanitation, manage schedules, control costs, and drive sales through great leadership and service. Flexible full-time schedule and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in related food service management position preferred.
• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs.
• Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of FOH & BOH Team Members.
• Assist and supervise the training and development of FOH & BOH Team Members.
• Uphold food preparation specifics by ensuring standard operational procedures are followed for consistent delivery of quality food items.
• Communicate, train, and educate Team Members and Shift Leaders on all changes or new procedures, processes, products, promotions, or equipment introduced to the restaurant.
• Conduct Succession Planning 1-on-1s with designated Team Members.
• Ensure Team Members comply with all established standards, including personal safety, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform.
• Manage daily operations of a restaurant shift.
• Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution.
