Habit Burger & Grill is hiring an Assistant Manager in New Jersey to support the General Manager in daily restaurant operations and drive a high-performing team. You will oversee recruitment, training, and development of FOH & BOH staff, uphold food safety standards, and focus on delivering an outstanding guest experience to grow sales.

The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and a hands-on approach to coaching, with opportunities for career advancement within a people-first culture.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in related food service management position preferred.
• Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs.
• Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily restaurant operations under the General Manager.
• Coordinate communication and teamwork within the management team to meet goals.
• Help achieve sales growth by delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard FOH & BOH team members; supervise training and development.
• Manage inventory, scheduling, and labor costs while ensuring food safety and sanitation.
