Job summary

Eataly, the world’s largest artisanal Italian food marketplace, seeks a Restaurant Assistant General Manager to lead day-to-day operations for a single restaurant or group, driving profitability and guest satisfaction.

You will manage floor operations hands-on, hire and coach staff, oversee inventories, collaborate with teams and corporate partners, and maintain hospitality standards across shifts. Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing a large restaurant staff to accomplish sales and guest service goals.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical and business management skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership and team-building skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Italian cuisine and wine highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the operations of the restaurant, maximizing profitability while upholding standards.
• Works the floor actively, hands-on leadership and coaching.
• Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates and terminates team members as necessary.
• Manages inventory levels and replenishes goods and operating materials.
• Collaborates interdepartmentally and with corporate to plan activities and events.
• Documents, investigates and resolves employee and guest incidents.
• Maintains a high level of hospitality towards guests and staff.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned
