Job summary

Eataly West Palm is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee day-to-day restaurant operations at the West Palm Beach location. The role reports to the General Manager of Restaurants and requires a hands-on leader who can drive profitability while maintaining high guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Associate degree and 2+ years of experience managing a large restaurant staff, with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree required.
• 2+ years managing a large restaurant staff to achieve sales and guest service goals.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Italian cuisine and wine highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of the restaurant to maximize profitability while upholding hospitality standards.
• Lead on-floor operations with a hands-on approach and be ready to engage directly with guests and staff.
• Hire, train, motivate, evaluate, and when needed terminate team members.
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to develop team members’ growth.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenishment of goods and operating materials.
• Collaborate across departments and with corporate to plan events and share information.
• Document, investigate and resolve employee and guest incidents.
• Maintain a high level of hospitality within the team and for guests.
• Perform other duties as required.

The Restaurant Assistant General Manager oversees the complex day-to-day operations of a single restaurant or group of restaurants at an Eataly location. Reports to the General Manager of Restaurants.

• Oversees the operations of the restaurant, working to maximize profitability while upholding the company’s mission, values, policies, quality and guest experience standards
• Works the floor actively, applying a hands-on approach, unafraid to get hands dirty
• Hires, assigns, trains, motivates, evaluates and terminates team members as necessary
• Provides in-the-moment coaching and feedback to team members, actively facilitating their growth
• Manages inventory levels and replenishes goods and operating materials
• Collaborates interdepartmentally and with corporate to plan activities, special events, share information, etc.
• Documents, investigates and resolves employee and guest incidents
• Maintains a high level of hospitality towards guests as well as within the team
• Performs other duties as required or assigned
