Job summary

Comcast Technology Solutions is seeking a Residential Installation & Service Technician to perform in-home broadband installations and troubleshooting for voice, video and data services. You will diagnose issues from network to customer equipment and educate customers on product usage while following safety procedures.

The role requires physical work in varied environments, with attendance flexibility for nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to install and troubleshoot residential broadband and home networks.

Responsibilities

Perform residential installations, service changes, and disconnects following safety practices and codes.
Diagnose and resolve issues from the network connection to customer equipment.
Install and support basic home networks using coaxial cable, Ethernet, and Wi‑Fi based on customer needs.
Verify service quality using testing tools and make adjustments for reliable performance.
Educate customers on products, services, equipment use, and setting expectations.
Accurately document completed work and update customer accounts using digital tools.
Maintain, clean, and stock assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment; report safety concerns promptly.
Operate ladders, hand tools, meters, and light power tools safely; work at heights as required.
Drive a company vehicle safely and maintain a valid driver’s license.
