Job summary

The New York Foundling in New York, NY seeks a Residence Services Manager to provide leadership, supervision, and oversight of the residence, ensuring high-quality, person-centered services for residents.

The role collaborates with the Residence Manager, MAP, nurses, and external partners to coordinate medical care, develop staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote safety, dignity, and well-being of persons supported. A valid driver’s license and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive experience in residential services; 2+ years in supervisory role.
• Valid NY/NJ/PA/CT driver’s license with 6 points or less.
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and life plans.
• Regulatory knowledge of OPWDD regulations and related standards.
• Budget management and resource allocation for residence operations.
• Strong communication and crisis management skills.
• Experience in documentation and regulatory compliance records.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to Direct Support Professionals, ensuring adherence to agency policies and OPWDD regulations.
• Collaborate with MAP, nurses, BIS to support medical and clinical care, plans, meetings, and data for all persons supported.
• Develop and retain a strong DSP workforce via coaching, mentoring, recognition, training, and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with program regulations, policies, and standards; uphold quality care and safety for persons supported.
• Coordinate with external agencies, families, and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive services.
• Implement and oversee emergency preparedness protocols to ensure safety during crises.
• Maintain OPWDD documentation standards and readiness for audits/site visits.
• Build relationships with staff, partners, advocates, and stakeholders to promote inclusive opportunities.
