Job summary

The New York Foundling seeks an experienced Residence Supervisor to lead a residential program in New York. You will oversee Direct Support Professionals, ensure high-quality, person-centered services, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to promote safety, dignity, and wellbeing for residents.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in residential services with supervisory experience, a valid regional driver's license, and strong knowledge of regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in residential services, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Valid Driver's License from NY/NJ/PA or CT with 6 points or less.
• Knowledge of Developmental Disabilities and life planning for persons supported.
• Regulatory knowledge: Medicaid regulations, licensing requirements.
• Budget management: monitor funds for residence operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to Direct Support Professionals, ensuring adherence to agency policies and standards.
• Collaborate with MAP, nurses, BIS and team to support medical and clinical care and coordinate services.
• Develop and retain a strong DSP workforce through coaching, mentoring, training, and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with program regulations, policies, and standards; prepare for audits/inspections.
• Coordinate with external agencies, families, and healthcare providers to support residents.
• Implement and oversee emergency preparedness procedures for residents.
