Job summary

The New York Foundling is seeking a Residence Leader to provide leadership, supervision, and operation oversight for a residential program in New York. You will supervise Direct Support Professionals, coordinate with nursing and clinical staff, and ensure quality, person-centered services for residents.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, crisis management, and collaborative work with families and community partners to promote health, safety, and independence for persons supported.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in residential services, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Valid drivers license from NY, NJ, PA or CT with 6 points or less.
• Knowledge of Developmental Disabilities and related regulatory guidelines.
• Budget management and resource allocation experience for residence operations.
• Strong communication, crisis management, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to Direct Support Professionals, ensuring policy and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with medical and clinical teams to support plans, meetings, and data for persons supported.
• Develop and retain DSP workforce through coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with program regulations, policies, and standards; support audits and safety.
• Coordinate with external agencies, families, and healthcare providers to integrate services.
