Job summary

The New York Foundling seeks a experienced Residence Supervisor in New York to lead direct care teams and ensure high-quality, person-centered services for residents. You will supervise DSPs, coordinate medical and clinical activities, and uphold safety, dignity, and regulatory standards in a dynamic residential setting.

Responsibilities include staff development, performance management, collaboration with nurses and MAP, and ensuring readiness for audits.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in residential services; supervisory/managerial role.
• Valid driver’s license from NY/NJ/PA/CT with 6 points or less.
• Budget management and resource allocation experience.
• Knowledge of Developmental Disabilities regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to Direct Support Professionals, ensuring adherence to agency policies, OPWDD regulations, and person-centered practices.
• Collaborate with MAP, nurses, BIS and other team members to support medical and clinical care, plans, meetings, and data for all persons supported.
• Develop and retain a strong DSP workforce through coaching, mentoring, recognition, training support, and ongoing performance feedback.
• Respond to requests by S&Q, Centralized Schedulers, DQI Survey and work with AVP in managers absence; monitor and maintain compliance with program regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with external agencies, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive services and support for persons supported.
• Implement and oversee emergency preparedness protocols and procedures to ensure safety.
• Maintain compliance with OPWDD regulations, including documentation standards and readiness for audits.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, community partners, advocates, and stakeholders.
