Job summary

The New York Foundling is seeking a dedicated residential services leader to provide oversight and direction at the residence. You will supervise Direct Support Professionals and ensure high-quality, person-centered care while coordinating with clinical teams and external partners.

You will drive staff development, maintain regulatory compliance, and manage budgets for day-to-day operations, ensuring safety and dignity for persons supported in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive residential services experience, with supervisory roles.
• Valid NY/NJ/PA/CT driver's license with 6 points or less.
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and person-centered care.
• Familiarity with OPWDD regulations and program standards.
• Budget management and resource allocation experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Crisis management and incident documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to Direct Support Professionals, ensuring adherence to agency policies, OPWDD regulations, and person-centered practices.
• Collaborate with MAP, nurses, BIS and other team members to support medical and clinical care, plans, meetings, and data.
• Develop and retain a strong DSP workforce through coaching, mentoring, recognition, and performance feedback.
• Respond to requests from S&Q, Centralized Schedulers, DQI; ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with external agencies, families, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated services for persons supported.
• Implement and oversee emergency preparedness protocols to ensure safety during crises.
• Maintain compliance with OPWDD documentation and audit readiness.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, community partners, advocates, and stakeholders.
