Job summary

ADT Security Services is seeking a Residential Service Technician to troubleshoot, configure and service security and site automation systems. You will handle fire and CO detection, networking, hosted video, and access control while ensuring proper signal testing with central monitoring.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license, with at least 2 years in ADT or similar products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product line.
• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to read building electrical and sprinkler plans as required for clearing equipment trouble.
• Standing, stooping, lifting, climbing, crawling.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, configure, reconstruct and program existing security and site automation solutions.
• Service fire and carbon monoxide detection, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control.
• Test and validate system signals/communication with central monitoring to properly establish service.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
