Job summary

Jericho Project is seeking a House Manager for its Melrose (Bronx) site, overseeing security and daily clerical tasks for a 129-unit project with 78 PSH units. This non-exempt role reports to the Superintendent/Property Manager and offers a compensation of $38,480 annually.

The position includes securing the site, crisis intervention, incident reporting, rent-related tasks, and collaboration with the Building Operations Manager to ensure lease compliance and resident safety.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Fire Guard Certification required (must obtain within first year).
• Basic computer skills knowledge required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
• Experience working with individuals with substance abuse history.
• Experience working with individuals who have experienced homelessness.

Responsibilities

• Secure and maintain the safety of tenants and the facility.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
• Report and electronically document all incidents on site.
• Assist with filing, rent collection, time & leave calendars and timesheet collection.
• Monitor and verify client safety via room checks as directed.
• Monitor client/visitor activity on site.
• Maintain compliance with fire safety codes.
• Work with Building Operations Manager to assist tenants in meeting lease terms.
• Maintain security by conducting floor checks at shift start.
• Attend house meetings, case conferences, and staff meetings.
• Light porter duties such as sweeping, trash removal, windows cleaning, and mopping.
• Other duties as assigned.
