Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor in West Lafayette, IN to support adults in group living environments with daily living skills and community integration. This role requires teaching ADLs, implementing treatment plans, supervising medications, and transporting residents to appointments under clinician guidance.

You will contribute to a trauma-informed care approach, maintain documentation, and advocate for residents’ needs in a structured, supportive setting with a 40-hour schedule and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong communication skills in English and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus: multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.

Pay Range: $20 - $21.25

Schedule: Sun, Mon 3p-7a and Tues 11p-7a 40 hrs
