Job summary

BAMSI, a Brockton, MA nonprofit, seeks a Residential Counselor - MAP to support adults in Group Living Environments. You will help residents develop daily living skills, monitor health needs, and reinforce treatment plans under clinical guidance.

Responsibilities include teaching ADLs, medication management, coordinating transportation, and advocacy for residents. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required; MAP training or mental health experience is a plus, with opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong communication skills in English; basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus: Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).

• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
