Job summary

BAMSI, based in Brockton, MA, is seeking a Residential Counselor to provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE). The role focuses on building daily living and community integration skills under clinician guidance, including ADLs and medication management.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, transporting residents, advocacy, and maintaining a safe, well-documented home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $23.75 Hourly

Title: Residential Counselor - MAP

Pay Range: $20 - $23.75

Schedule: (40 hours) Friday - Tuesday 3pm-11pm

FLSA: Non Exempt

What You Bring:

• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus : Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
