Job summary

BAMSI is seeking aResidential Counselor MAP in Plymouth, MA. You will provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments, helping with daily living skills, medication management, and community integration. Commitment to trauma-informed care and strong communication are essential.

Salary ranges from $20.00 to $21.25 hourly, with non-exempt status and a Wednesday–Friday evening schedule. This role offers training opportunities and comprehensive benefits through BAMSI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in mental health or community support preferred.
• Strong communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• TeachADLs(cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• ImplementTreatment Plansand behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications perMAP guidelinesand document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.

What You’ll Do:

What You Bring:

• High school diploma/GED; mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility (bending, standing, etc.).
• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus : Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
