Job summary

BAMSI in Massachusetts is seeking a Residential Counselor for the MAP program, supporting adults in group living environments during evening shifts. The role emphasizes rehabilitation, daily living skills, and compassionate care in a community-based setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; mental health experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English; ability to document clearly and timely.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility as needed.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.

Pay Range: $20 - $23.75

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4pm-11pm and Friday 4pm-9pm (33 hours)
