Job summary

BAMSI in Bridgewater, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor for its MAP program. You will provide rehabilitative support in Group Living Environments, helping adults develop daily living skills and community integration.

Responsibilities include teaching ADLs, implementing treatment plans under clinician guidance, supervising medications per MAP guidelines, and transporting residents to appointments. A high school diploma and strong English communication are required; driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation.
• Experience supporting adults in mental health or community settings preferred.

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.

Pay Range: $20 - $23.75

Schedule: (30 hours) Monday - Friday 9am-3pm

• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility (bending, standing, etc.).
• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus: Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
