Job summary

BAMSI, Inc. is seeking a Residential Counselor for the MAP program in Holliston, MA. You will provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments, helping with daily living skills and documenting care under clinician guidance.

Requirements include MAP certification, high school diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, and English communication. Experience in mental health preferred. Training and CEU opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; mental health experience preferred.
• MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification required; employer-provided training if not current.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.

What You Bring:

• MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification is required for this position. Candidates without current certification must be willing to complete employer-provided training
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility (bending, standing, etc.).
• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus : Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
