Job summary

Brockton Area Multi Services Inc (BAMSI) in Attleboro, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor to provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments, helping with daily living and community integration.

You will teach ADLs, implement treatment plans under clinician guidance, and support residents with medications and transportation to activities. The role requires a high school diploma and a driving license, with emphasis on compassion, communication, and trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong English communication; trauma-informed care mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
