Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor to support adults in group living environments in Millis, MA. The role involves teaching daily living skills, implementing treatment plans, and ensuring medication administration per MAP guidelines.

On-site schedule is 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with a daytime shift. Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification is required or willing to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications by MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.

• Bonus : Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
