Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. in Asheville, NC is seeking a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site from permit to closing.

This role oversees multiple home constructions, coordinating with subcontractors to maintain safety, quality, and schedule while upholding company standards. You will ensure inspections are completed, supervise trades, and keep homeowners informed through the construction process. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a commitment to customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to four years related experience in construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Vehicle and driver’s license required to travel between communities.
• Knowledge of building codes and permits.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule and ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Schedule subcontractors for each phase and ensure workmanship meets plans and codes.
• Complete each home site from planning to occupancy, meeting contract obligations.
• Inspect subcontractor work and halt noncompliant activities as needed.
• Authorize payments upon workmanship acceptance and material receipt.
• Oversee customer experience throughout construction and provide regular updates.
