Job summary

D.R. Horton, the nation’s leading homebuilder, is seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage multiple homes from permit to closing. You will schedule and supervise site subcontractors, conduct homeowner walkthroughs, and ensure safety and quality standards are met across communities.

Responsibilities include coordinating phases, ensuring code adherence, and maintaining timely project delivery. Strong communication, budgeting, and MS Office proficiency are essential for success in this

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college is a plus.
• Must have strong communication and construction knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction schedule to deliver quality product on time and within budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors for each phase and ensure code compliance.
• Complete each home site from planning to occupancy, meeting obligations.
• Inspect workmanship and halt noncompliant work.
• Authorize subcontractor payments after satisfactory inspections.
• Oversee customer experience throughout the build process.
• Maintain site cleanliness and orderly conditions.
• Manage post-close warranty process and decisions.
• Proactively address homeowners concerns with professionalism.
• Stay updated on applicable building codes.
• Collaborate with sales, warranty, and management for open communication.
