This role emphasizes teamwork with staff, adherence to food safety guidelines, and flexibility to assist with inventory and ordering. A high school diploma is required, prior cooking experience preferred, and ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must pass COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state/county law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
