Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will help ensure food quality, taste, and presentation while following safety protocols and patient dietary needs.

This full-time on-site role offers benefits and opportunities for hands-on training. Candidates should have a high school diploma and prior cooking experience; ServSafe certification is preferred or may be required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate with staff and residents.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• May need sanitation and safety training.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering good service.
• All other duties as assigned.
