Job summary

Hawthorn Senior Living is seeking a friendly, dependable housekeeping/servers helper to clean resident apartments and community areas, and assist with meals in a supportive senior living environment. This position is treated as a universal employee and will be cross-trained in other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Responsibilities include thorough cleaning of apartments and common areas, serving meals, assisting residents, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to perform housekeeping duties following sanitation standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents in care and cleaning of their apartments.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments according to Hawthorn guidelines and schedule (vacuuming, spot cleaning, dusting, bathrooms, kitchenettes, laundry).
• Clean community common areas (vacuum, mop, dust, restrooms, windows).
• Serve meals: greet residents, take orders, deliver to kitchen, assist with opening packages, deliver trays, buss tables, set tables.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in dining areas and common spaces.
• Adhere to all company policies, attendance and punctuality; participate in cross-training.
• Maintain safety procedures and own professional conduct; complete pre-employment checks as required.
