Job summary

Hawthorn Senior Living in Lawrence, KS is seeking a versatile team member to clean resident apartments and common areas and to serve meals to residents in a courteous, friendly manner. This role is universal and cross-trained across positions.

You will follow Hawthorn procedures, maintain sanitation standards, communicate effectively with residents and staff, and participate in daily duties including laundry, trash removal, and table service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to perform housekeeping duties following sanitation standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents.
• Ability to present meal alternatives to residents and guests.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance is required.
• Maintain knowledge of Hawthorn Employee Handbook and company policies.
• Clean resident apartments according to Hawthorn guidelines (vacuuming, dusting, bathroom, kitchenette, linens, windows, deep cleans).
• Clean community common areas (vacuum, mop, dust, restrooms, windows, deep cleans).
• Serve meals: take orders, deliver to kitchen, assist residents, deliver trays, bus tables, reset dining areas, maintain beverage center.
