Job summary

Camden Property Trust in Austin is seeking a Leasing Consultant to be the first impression for prospective and current residents. You will guide tours, close leases, process documents, and ensure a positive move-in experience while supporting occupancy and retention goals.

You will showcase community features, respond to resident needs, coordinate events, and stay informed about competition to provide accurate information.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in sales, hospitality and/or customer service.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Meet or exceed sales and customer service goals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of property management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the leasing process from tour to move-in including closing the sale and processing lease documents.
• Showcase community features aligned to customer needs.
• Maintain a customer-focused attitude to ensure smooth renewals.
• Use marketing and social media strategies to drive traffic.
• Support occupancy and retention goals through follow-up with residents.
• Handle unpredictable situations with problem-solving and judgment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the community and competitors.
• Foster positive resident relations with courteous, timely responses.
• Prepare lease documents, files, and related bookkeeping tasks.
• Collaborate with the team to plan resident events and assist on other projects.
