Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community. You will supervise staff, manage leasing, maintenance, and risk, and play a critical role in delinquency and rent collection to optimize cash flow.

The role requires a HS diploma (Bachelor's preferred) or equivalent housing-industry experience, plus basic software skills and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delinquency and collection of rent to optimize cash flow.
• Manage operations including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration & risk management in the absence of the Community Manager.
• Supervise staff to ensure compliance with company policies and fair housing guidelines.
• Post payments and income from applicants, residents, and non-current residents accurately and timely.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable and monitor bad debt.
• Assist with budgeting, revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income targets.
• Perform end-of-month closings and reporting; maintain organized records.
