Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. is seeking a dedicated Resident Coordinator to assist our Resident Managers with daily operations across markets.

The role centers on delivering an outstanding resident experience, coordinating move-ins, maintenance and move-outs, and handling tenant transactions within licensing rules. The position requires strong customer service, communication and organizational skills, plus experience with property management software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of high-volume customer service experience.
• Experience in Call Centers, Dispatch, Real Estate, or Property Management preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, time management and conflict resolution skills.
• Solid relationship management, organizing, and customer service skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Experience with property management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional resident experience during move-in, maintenance coordination and move-out within licensing restrictions.
• Assist with administrative tasks including resident communications, mail scanning, lease renewal paperwork, rental verifications, insurance documents, reporting and daily tenant transactions.
• Focus on resident retention through proactive outreach and portal assistance.
• Collaborate with Resident Managers and Administrative staff to ensure accurate handling of tenant financial transactions.
• Maintain meticulous records of deposit transactions in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Communicate clearly with tenants regarding deposit inquiries and timelines.
