Job summary

Avanath Capital LLC is seeking an Assistant Community Manager in Illinois to oversee daily operations, leasing, reporting, and resident relations. You will support rent processing, marketing, and staff supervision, ensuring adherence to Fair Housing laws and LIHTC requirements.

The role requires strong communication, bookkeeping, and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering excellent resident experiences and collaboration with partners and vendors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
• LIHTC/Tax Credit Program Knowledge required.
• Excellent communication skills and dedication to customer service.
• Strong bookkeeping and rent collection experience.
• Knowledge of landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing laws.
• Proficient use of Windows, Excel, email and internet.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage resident satisfaction and retention through timely responses.
• Assist leasing duties, including tours of prospective residents.
• Handle property finances: post and deposit rents and deposits.
• Monitor delinquencies and enforce lease terms.
• Support monthly projections, inspections, make-ready units.
• Oversee property operations in Community Manager’s absence.
• Maintain professional, service-oriented environment.
