Job summary

ADAPT Community Network seeks a Residence Program Specialist to support residents in a secure, home-like setting. You will provide direct care, skill-building, and advocacy to help residents achieve personal goals and quality of life.

Under supervision, administer medications per protocol, follow behavior guidelines, and participate in interdisciplinary plans to ensure safety and dignity for all residents. This role emphasizes confidentiality and teamwork in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of related experience preferred but not required.
• AMAP status at hire or within six months.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to respond to crisis situations and make sound decisions.
• Commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding rights.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to residents to promote independence and personal development.
• Ensure safety, health, and well-being of residents at all times.
• Assist with ADLs and daily living skills.
• Maintain a homelike, respectful atmosphere within the residence.
• Participate in treatment plans and implement goals.
• Document daily activities and progress accurately.
• Respond to crises and medical emergencies as needed.
• Coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
