Job summary

WSP is seeking a Renewable Energy Electrical Engineering Lead to drive design and delivery for distributed generation projects across multiple sites in the US, including Buffalo, NY and Austin, TX.

You will provide technical leadership, develop DC/LV/MV designs, and oversee protection, control, and reporting while ensuring compliance with NEC/IEEE/NESC standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of post-education experience in electrical engineering for renewable energy projects.
• Professional Engineer license or obtainable within 1 year.
• Proficient with electrical design, permitting and project work.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical interconnection design and standardsNEC/IEEE/NESC.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and project execution for renewable energy projects.
• Develop electrical models, calculations, and reports for design.
• Coordinate with owners, engineers and clients across sites.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety and industry standards.
