Job summary

Humana, Inc. seeks a Workday Compensation Configuration Lead to act as the enterprise expert for compensation solutions, guiding design, configuration, testing, and ongoing support to optimize Total Rewards.

You will partner with HR, Finance, Payroll, and Technology, translating complex business needs into scalable Workday capabilities while mentoring teammates and driving governance and automation. This remote, US-based role reports to an Associate Director and offers the opportunity to shape

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, IS, business, finance, CS, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years in HR technology, enterprise systems, or related experience including leading configuration initiatives.
• 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience with deep expertise in Workday Advanced Compensation and HCM functionality.
• Experience configuring and supporting compensation processes including annual planning, merit, bonus, salary structures, and one-time payments.
• Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, translating needs into scalable Workday capabilities.
• Experience leading testing activities: unit, SIT, UAT, release validation, production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, design, configuration, testing, and ongoing support of Workday Compensation solutions.
• Serve as functional owner for compensation processes and statements.
• Advise on governance, release management, and enterprise initiatives.
• Mentor configuration professionals and influence technology strategy.
• Proactively identify automation and optimization opportunities across the platform.
