Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Western United States, including CO, UT, WY, MT, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, and AZ. The role is remote, reporting to the Director of Sales & Business Development.

You will build strong client relationships, manage forecasting, and leverage CRM to win opportunities. Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering to close deals and drive territory growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science required.
• 5+ years of progressive field sales experience preferred.
• Travel up to 60% within the Western United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage direct sales for assigned territory.
• Demonstrate hardware and software technologies to potential customers.
• Prepare and submit monthly sales forecast; use CRM to track opportunities.
• Drive territory performance and foster a system integrator program.
• Plan weekly travel to maximize customer face time and opportunities.
• Document sales process in CRM and schedule follow-ups.
• Submit weekly activity reports and participate in sales calls.
• Collaborate with Applications, Marketing, and Engineering to close deals.
• Develop presentations and sales materials; partner with Marketing on leads.
• Identify top prospects and adjust business plans as needed.
