Job summary

Biotage is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to sell core chemistry instruments and consumables for flash chromatography, microwave synthesis, evaporation, and peptide synthesis systems to chemists in major pharma, biotech, CRO, academia, and government accounts. Remote: Based in the San Francisco area.

You will have full sales responsibility for instruments and accessories in your defined territory, demonstrate products to prove value, train customers, and work with Inside Sales to grow

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, active listening, negotiation and persuasion communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively, be a self-starter, be creative, and have strong organizational skills.
• Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Responsibilities

• Full sales responsibility for Instruments and related accessories in defined territory.
• Demonstrate instruments and related products to show business value and differentiation.
• Maintain and train customers to maximize benefit from Biotage products.
• Grow consumable product sales in the territory alongside Inside Sales Representative.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
• Qualify leads, manage opportunities, and document activity in Salesforce.
• Generate quotes and negotiate prices within authorized limits.
• Prepare reports and respond to ad hoc information requests.
