Job summary

Biotage, a leader in separation and purification technologies, seeks a Technical Sales Representative to drive core chemistry consumables and systems for Life Science accounts in CRO, Pharmaceutical, Clinical, Forensics, Academic, Government and related sectors.

Remote: Based in the Bay Area. You will travel 50-60% in year one, build strong customer relationships, deliver demonstrations, collaborate with Applications Scientists, and meet revenue targets across a diverse portfolio of customers.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal, written, active listening, negotiation, and persuasion communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively, be a self-starter, be creative, and have strong organizational skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment with shifting priorities.
Proficient computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and CRM software (Salesforce.com).
Proven track record of success in sales and account management is highly desirable.
Experience selling scientific equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Achieve defined monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for revenue and profitability for the territory.
Discover customer needs and develop winning solutions to ensure customer success.
Expand knowledge of Biotage products via sales calls, seminars, and demonstrations.
Identify and develop new customer relationships and expand current ones.
Provide first-line support at customer sites for SPE sample prep methods.
Train customers to maximize value from Biotage products and collaborate with Applications Scientists.
Generate quotes, negotiate pricing within limits, and document results in CRM.
Represent the company at conferences and provide timely sales forecasts.
