Job summary

Carrington is seeking a senior Post Close leader to manage all facets of funded loan delivery, endorsement, records, due diligence, and compliance from a remote home base. You will set direction with Senior Management, align processes with SLAs, and drive continuous improvement for loan quality and risk management.

The role requires 7–15 years in loan originations and mortgage experience, with a bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent, and a track record of building strong teams and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
• 7–10 years’ experience managing at least one aspect of the Loan Origination Process.
• 10–15 years of mortgage industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with policies and laws, including hiring/training, planning, directing work, performance monitoring, and resolving problems.
• Ensure Post Close operations comply with policies, regulations, SLAs and loan quality metrics.
• Collaborate with Capital Markets, Secondary Markets, Operations, QA, Loan Servicing, IT and Treasury to maintain loan quality and monetary controls.
• Foster a department culture aligned with company values, focused on continuous improvement and customer service.
• Develop and implement training to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Serve as liaison with staff, sales, vendors, and customers to resolve issues.
• Work with IT to develop system enhancements for Post Close efficiency and quality control.
• Provide exception-based review of loan circumstances and conditions.
• Assist in interviewing and hiring new department managers.
• Regularly audit staff for policy compliance and effectiveness.
• Analyze performance trends and coordinate with Operations on audit findings.
