Job summary

Fintelligent is seeking a Virtual Accountant to own the foundational financial data layer for a portfolio of professional services clients. You reconcile accounts, vouch data, and close month-end with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring every number touched by analysts is trustworthy.

You’ll work directly with founders, code standards, and look for AI-enabled improvements to speed the close and improve quality while maintaining clean audit trails across multiple client books.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing transactional accounting for multiple clients in outsourced or multi-client environments.
• Fluent in QuickBooks Online, including bank feeds, reconciliations and month-end close.
• Comfortable discussing numbers with founders and business owners.
• Tech-savvy and open to AI-driven improvements in processes.
• Capable of maintaining clean, well-documented audit trails.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations across client portfolio.
• Process accounts payable/receivable accurately and on schedule.
• Record payroll journal entries and support revenue recognition.
• Execute month-end close procedures with schedules and documentation.
• Maintain auditable trails and proactively address client questions.
